  • Overview

    The Financial Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting the multiple Tier 1 and Tier 2 ERP product suites.  This person works closely with the end-users to understand business objectives and provide daily support activities.  The day-to-day support activities include but are not limited to:

    • End user support for Tier 1 and Tier 2 ERP and BI products such as CostPoint, Oracle Financials, SAGE, Gov2Win, and Cognos
    • Production of documentation of accounting and technical procedures
    • Application maintenance and testing for both ERP and related proprietary applications
    • Administration and support of the Business Intelligence reporting tools
    • Creation of Microsoft and Oracle SQL scripts


    Strategy & Planning

    • The Financial Systems Analyst, in coordination with the IT Director, is responsible for identifying, defining, recommending and implementing ERP system enhancements and upgrades.

    Acquisition & Deployment

    • Participate in the design and deployment of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and associated business intelligence (BI) tools.

    Operational Management

    • Manage ERP and BI systems and associated infrastructure.
    • Troubleshoots basic application malfunctions.
    • Serves as primary liaison between ERP end users and the IT department
    • In association with the IT Director, works with all staff levels in assessing needs for various business functions
    • Responsible for daily application maintenance activities.
    • Documents system maintenance processes and proper configurations for ERP applications.
    • Supports system testing activates including performing test cases, documenting results, and reporting findings to stakeholders.
    • Monitors user security levels in the ERP system and performs routine audits.
    • Network asset management, include maintenance of network component inventory and related written documentation and technical specification information.
    • Develops and tests Microsoft SQL scripts for ERP and BI reporting.
    • Other duties as assigned.


    Formal Education & Certification

    • Bachelor’s degree in the field of finance, business administration, or computer science.
    • 5+ years of functionally supporting a corporate accounting department.
    • Microsoft Certified Solution Associate: SQL Server 2019 or 2017 or four years of supporting Microsoft SQL may be substituted for this requirement.
    • Experience working with Oracle SQL databases

    Knowledge & Experience

    • Knowledge of a Tier 1 enterprise resource planning applications and business intelligence tools.
    • Entry level knowledge of Tier 2 enterprise resource planning applications
    • Ability to provide remote support for end users of ERP applications
    • Experience configuring, maintaining, and supporting Deltek and Oracle ERP installations.
    • Experience creating Microsoft and/or Oracle SQL scripts for use in conjunction with ERP and BI applications.
    • Working technical knowledge of system security concepts.
    • Working knowledge of Windows Server support techniques and procedures
    • Entry level knowledge of Linux Server support techniques and procedures
    • Ability to travel: 20%.

    Preferred but not required:

    • CompTIA Project+ certification
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

    Additional Requirements:

    Position is subject to satisfactory completion of a background check, reference check. A valid driver’s license is also required for this position.
